Well, I got in from St. Louis after shooting some more Graduation Ceremonies this week and now I’m hard at work finishing up some virtual tours and editing Adrianna and Tony’s favorite picks from their Engagement Session. We also had a great meeting with Kaycee Wright the other day to discuss her 2011 Wedding and, once again this has been the busiest 5 weeks since I’ve been in business. Thanks to EVERYONE for understanding and bearing with us while we hire some extra help around here, and also thanks to all the photography students for putting up with our weather that has been messing up a lot of the scheduled photography lessons.

These past two weeks we’ve shot 7 Virtual tours, built 2 Real Estate Websites, Shot over 6300 College Graduate’s photos, and I personally am really looking forward to getting back into a regular schedule this week since graduation season is over!!

We’ve got a few really important weddings coming up @Kyle Callea @DianneSepe @JayBeebe @StevenSevatah and we can’t wait to start showing off our latest wedding work. Thanks again everyone for hanging in there with us while we try to get everything caught up. I designed this card this evening for a good friend who is reinventing the branding for his fantastic business – his carpentry is the best i’ve ever seen and his trim work is to DIE for. I tried to keep it clean, yet visually interesting – I think the hammers are a little bit ‘cliche but we’ll see what the client thinks!

Get plenty of SLEEP- you want to look refreshed and alert, so make sure you have at least two night’s worth of decent shut-eye.
HAIR- if you want to cut your hair, do so two weeks prior to the shoot. This way the cut will look more natural. To shave or not to shave: it’s up to you. Feel free to come with a full beard/mustache/ gotee. You can shave them off for different looks
Clothes-Avoid patterns. Popular trends include worn out jeans, earth-toned tops, and jackets (don’t forget your school jacket). Make sure your clothes are a reflection of YOU and your style.
Accessories- BRING PLENTY! Mix and match earrings, bracelets, hats, and necklaces with your outfits.
MAKE UP- ladies, make sure you have everything you need for touch ups including makeup, hair brushes, and curling irons. Apply makeup evenly and don’t worry about blemishes (we’ll take care of that) Also make sure to bring along lip gloss or chap stick to make those lips pop!
Bring a FRIEND along- They will ease any nerves you may have about the photoshoot AND they can join in on some pictures if you prefer.
PERSONALITY/PROPS- Bring items that reflect your personality, hobbies, and talents. This can include instruments, sports equipment , cars, pets, etc.
SMILE AND HAVE FUN- Don’t forget to show off those pearly whites. Practice your smile in front of the mirror a few days before the shoot and get comfortable with it.

We love shooting parties, races, barbecues and any other gathering that you could describe by saying “a bunch of people doing _________.” We will HAPPILY cover your events or parties for $100 per hour and put all the photos online for ANYONE with a password to DOWNLOAD for free. So while that seems like a lot, if you had a party of 80 people and wanted me there for 3 hours, everyone would only have to pay $4.50. Yay. Go math!

Private Lessons – Camera

BEGINNER CLASS: Basic Camera Features (easier than reading giant manual), Lens Choice and Selection based on Subject Matter, Exposure (pictures too dark? too bright?), How and when you use your flash, basic photo composition and what makes interesting pictures. This class is high-demand and must be scheduled at least 2 weeks ahead of time – $150 for ONE 2 Hr Session including Take-home notes

INTERMEDIATE CLASS: Covers Low Light, Fast Action, Night/Long Exposure and how to shoot in *cue dramatic drums* MANUAL MODE ($150 for ONE 2 hour lesson + Take Home Notes)
