Thanks so much Clinton! Chelsea and I had a great time shooting these with you – here is a quick preview of some of our favorites from the shoot! You were a great sport and we enjoyed every bit of the session! (/plug) Clinton contacted us and said he was very interested in having me shoot his senior photos, and that he loved his jeep and was very active at church – we came up with more than a few images with this simple formula – - – here are a few to check out from the shoot!
Some shoots are simply effortless . . . . some are much more difficult and almost feel like pulling teeth. Luckily, this one with Adrianna and Tony was the most easy going I’ve been involved in all year! We started by meeting at Peabody Campus of Vanderbilt, because our original plans of Centennial Park were marred by the Earth-Day festivities. Darn Earth Day – - haha! So we shot quite a few frames in the “more beautiful than I remembered” Peabody Campus and then went on to the Cathedral where they are getting married later this year . . . finally finishing up at the Nashville Walking Bridge. Lots of fun yesterday with Jay & Laurie – we had the opportunity to shoot this quick engagement set at the same location that they will be getting married. They were so easy to work with I didn’t feel like I had to work to hard to capture them having fun!

The Ahlfield Duo
Great shoot tonight WAYYYY past sunset . . . thanks to the LOW NOISE ISO 1600 from my new Nikon D300s – I was able to steal some of that light from the sky in the weeee hours!!!

When we arrived to our Hotel, we were SHOCKED as to how nice it was – especially considering that we had only reserved a room the night before via Expedia.com . . . When we got there, it turned out that they were all booked up and didn’t have any more of our $100 rooms available. This made us very sad, especially the part when they UPGRADED us to the Luxury Suite.

Yesterday, I was allowed in to a secret society no men are supposed to be exposed to. Lots more laughing and less secret-society type behavior than I would have expected. Great fun – and, what? can I actually say no to being the only man in a room filled with women??
